About Vermilion Cabin Construction
We enjoy the challenges that Lake Vermilion and Northern Minnesota bring to each of our projects. Our weather changes often and that's why having a local contractor that knows our seasonal conditions will guide you to make timely decisions necessary for your project. Roger and I have been doing this a long time and we're networked with other contractors and subs in the area to make sure that we can deliver the quality that you deserve.
Our Process
Planning is critical for any project. Whether you're remodeling your existing home or looking to build a new home, we're available to discuss options with you. In our process, it's imperative that your voice is heard and all of the details are discussed.
Preconstruction Design
We are happy to work with you and your architect to create a timeline and clear expectations for your project.
Design & Construction Estimate
If you don't have an architect we'll use our knowledge of building code requirements and our experience in Northern Minnesota's unique climate to advise you through the design and building process.
On-Site Consultations
Throughout your project, we will meet with you or share pictures of the progress to make sure you're aware of how things are going.
The Finishing
Touches
No project is complete without your creative signature on it. If you have unique or custom finish ideas, we're happy to work with you to make your dreams a reality.
About the Owners
Travis is a 1998 graduate of Cook High School who started working construction as a junior in high school for Ron Pope Construction right here on Lake Vermilion. In his youth he worked his way up to master journeyman working for Sandberg Construction, Ryan's Rustic Railings and Furniture, Voyageur Log Homes, Bissonette Log Construction, Kraus-Anderson, and Layton Construction.

Roger graduated from Cook High School in 2005. However, he began working for Ryan's Rustic Railings and Furniture prepping materials for local contractors while still in school. Roger enjoys working with his hands and watching both residential and commercial projects come together. He has attained the experience level of a master journeyman carpenter in his time at Sandberg Construction, Sheehy Construction, and Lenci Enterprises.
